The MSci Geophysics is an advanced undergraduate and integrated master’s program that explores the physical processes shaping our planet, from deep within the Earth’s core to its surface and atmosphere. This multidisciplinary course combines physics, mathematics, geology, and computational techniques to understand natural phenomena such as earthquakes, volcanoes, magnetic fields, plate tectonics, and natural resource exploration.
Students will study the Earth’s structure and dynamics using cutting-edge technology, seismic surveys, and satellite data, learning to analyze complex geophysical data and model Earth’s processes. The program includes practical fieldwork, laboratory sessions, and research projects, offering hands-on experience in real-world geoscience investigations.

The MSci Geophysics program is designed for students fascinated by the Earth’s internal mechanisms and the forces that shape its landscape. Students will investigate natural hazards, resource formation, environmental changes, and the Earth’s magnetic and gravitational fields, gaining a deep understanding of how these processes affect human life and ecosystems.
With a focus on problem-solving, data analysis, and field investigation, students will develop practical skills to assess and mitigate geological risks, explore natural resources responsibly, and contribute to environmental protection. The integrated master’s format provides an opportunity for advanced research and specialization, preparing students for both professional roles and doctoral studies.
